Each year, White Chapel Cemetery hosts a Memorial
Day Service in honor of WWI Polar Bear (May), and a VJ Day Service (August),
and pays tribute to our Military and Veterans on Patriot
Day (Sept. 11) and on
Veterans Day (Nov. 11). All are free and open
to the public.

On Veterans Day (Nov. 11), White Chapel displays over 400 American Flags in recognition of our veterans of all U.S. wars who have served their country (weather permitting).
TROOP CARE PACKAGE COLLECTION DRIVE:
During the period surrounding Patriot Day each year, White Chapel hosts its
Troop Care Package Collection Drive to provide “a little bit of home and comfort” to overseas military troops. During the annual drive, White Chapel collects new items for care packages that troops might ordinarily find in their homes back in Michigan. The 2016 item collection will take place from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6 through Saturdary, September 17 at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery at 621 W. Long Lake Rd. (west of I-75) in Troy in the Temple of Memories. A complete list of suggested items to donate can be found HERE.
